The Club at Ironwood Country Club recently underwent a multimillion dollar renovation of all its facilities, including the 50,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse that includes a private dining room, lounge, his and her locker rooms, main dining room, outside dining, and a new fitness Center with luxury spa treatment rooms.
Originally designed by Desmond Muirhead and Ted Robinson in consultation with Arnold Palmer, the two golf courses at Ironwood Country Club offers superb golf for every level of play. More recently, both courses have been redesigned by John Fought.
The South Course is a true championship test offering four sets of tees to allow golfers play from 4,757 to 7,256 yards. Annually, this course serves as host to a US Open qualifying round. Ranked as the 6th best course in the Coachella Valley, this course continues to be a favorite of avid golfers.
The North Course, though shorter in distance with playability from 4,555 to 6,100 yards, rewards the accurate player. This course is set in one of the most magnificent desert and mountain venues in the Palm Springs area.
Ironwood Country Club's tennis and fitness center is a state-of-the-art, 10,000 square-foot facility promoting health, relaxation and a great social atmosphere to meet other club members. Tennis players will find themselves wanting to get involved in the many events and activities offered year round. The tennis club offers ball machines and a fully stocked tennis shop. Racquet stringing and demo rackets are also available for members to use.
For tennis fanatics, two courts have recently been re-surfaced to the same standards as the ATP and WTA Tours in addition to the BNP Paribas Open held at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, Indian Wells, California.
Fitness devotee's will find a wide variety of services and amenities including group exercise, Pilates, personal trainers, state of the art weight & cardiovascular equipment, free weights, and two premier spa treatment rooms.
